Growing up, my heart was torn between two passions, art, and nursing, seemingly worlds apart. Little did I know that these separate paths would eventually merge into a beautiful career of creativity and care in my practice today! 
After completing my master's program and delving into the world of family practice, I found myself yearning for something more, a missing spark that I couldn't quite pinpoint. It was in 2019 that I took a leap of faith and decided to explore the realm of aesthetics. 2019, I enrolled in AMET's foundational course in Little Rock, AR. This was a game-changing decision, recommended by trusted colleagues, and perfectly tailored to fit into my busy schedule, even on weekends! 
As I continued to hone my skills with friends and family, the world threw us all a curveball with the onset of COVID-19. Determined to elevate my practice and step out independently, I knew I would gain extensive knowledge by continuing my training with AMET. In 2023, I began the advanced course offered. Since then, I have never looked back. I found my calling and purpose by opening my med spa, Kimtox Skin Studio, in Little Rock, AR. 
The courses offered by AMET were a breath of fresh air, with a welcoming and engaging instructor who made learning a joy. The didactic content was concise, relevant, and focused on the essential aspects of anatomy, fillers, and toxins. The hands-on training was an invaluable experience, with a patient and thorough instructor who always prioritized safety. Walking away from both the foundational and advanced courses, I felt equipped with the solid knowledge to step into the world of aesthetics confidently. The support has yet to end; AMET's FB group provides an additional nurturing space for interaction, questions, and growth without judgment. 
 Joined by like-minded friends and colleagues in AMET, I emerged from the course brimming with confidence in my ability to integrate safe and evidence-based practices into my med spa. The impact of AMET on my journey cannot be overstated. Countless healthcare professionals have approached me seeking guidance in aesthetics, and my advice is always the same: start with AMET's foundational course. It lays a rock-solid, evidence-based practice foundation for medical providers like PAs, NPs, MDs, and RNs, setting them up for success in this exciting specialty! 
There is no better place to be than standing over my chair, instilling confidence within my patients from the outside in. My practice has taken off and soared to new heights in a short amount of time. Although I praise a part of that success for showcasing how much my patient's well-being means to me, I wouldn't be where I am today without the training and knowledge AMET instilled in me. I encourage anyone on the fence to take the leap of faith as I did and let AMET be a game-changer in your career.
